A very small amount of enamel is gently reshaped—usually less than a millimeter—to make room for the veneer and ensure it sits flush without making the tooth look bulky. This light contouring also helps the veneer bond securely to the enamel surface.
For patients who prefer a minimal-preparation option, we also offer Lumineers, which can be placed without removing any tooth enamel. After preparation, an impression of your teeth is taken to capture every contour and detail of your smile. These digital molds are sent to a trusted dental laboratory, where your custom porcelain veneers are crafted to match your desired size, shape, and color. Each veneer is designed for a natural fit and a stain-resistant finish that enhances both strength and beauty.
Bonding the Porcelain Veneers
Once your veneers are ready, Dr. Streelman places them over the prepared teeth and carefully adjusts their position for a natural, comfortable fit. After confirming shape, bite, and alignment, each veneer is permanently bonded using high-strength dental cement. The final result is polished and translucent, blending perfectly with your surrounding teeth for a seamless, radiant smile.
